K-9 Jake is a 3 year old Pointer, Lab, Dalmatian mix. Jake came from an Everett humane society in Sept 2003. Jake was introduced to the K-9 program at McNeil Island Correctional Center and was put through an accelerated narcotic's class. Jake worked with a Dept of Correction's K-9 Handler for three months before being returned to McNeil for the next class. Deputy Kinman and K-9 Jake were teamed up together at the narcotic canine training program and  graduated from the six week course as a team in February 2004.
