OCSO - 911 Cares
SRT Emblem

The 911 Cares program is taught by Public Education Coordinator Christy Goddard of the Okanogan County Communications Center. The classes are designed for children, as well as the general public. The class teaches the proper use of phoning 911 through the use of games, videos, and interactive discussion. Classes for children are geared for fun and teaching that Law Enforcement officers are their friends and not to be feared. Students get to speak to Officers from their hometowns, as well as Deputies, and generally get a tour of a working police vehicle.

Classes for adults can be arranged in a bi-lingual fashion and focus on varying traditional views of law enforcement and when to use the 911 system.

To request a visit to your school or event contact Christy Goddard at 509-422-7232 or email Christy Goddard for more information
